LINFIELD RETAIN TESCO UNDER-13 CUP
Linfield kept a firm grip on the Tesco Under-13 Cup when they beat Ards Youth 3-1 in the final at Stangmore Park, Dungannon.
The young Blues now hope to emulate last year's representatives from Windsor Park and win the Tesco UK final at Bolton Wanderers Reebok Stadium next month against winners from England, Scotland and Wales.
Linfield's Jack Uprichard opened the scoring against the North Down lads and Jackson Touhey added a second.
Ards gave themselves hope when Ruairi Croskery pulled a goal back but Eoghan McCawl produced a third for the young Blues to ensure they retained the trophy.
It's the third time in the four-year history of the Tesco Cup that Linfield have lifted the trophy.
