GREYHOUND CITY SPORTS PROGRESS TO NATIONAL FINAL
Greyhound City Sports U13 boys football team from Hereford won the Tesco Cup South West England Regional Final at BAWA Sports Club, Bristol on Sunday 3 May. The boys now advance to the English final of the Tesco Cup at the Walkers Stadium, Leicester on 17 May.
Bristol Rovers defender Craig Hinton attended the event and selected Greyhound City Sports footballer George Fielding as Player of the Tournament. Craig Hinton also selected the following players to win individual awards:
Best Goalkeeper: Kyle Moore (Tamarside)
Best Defender: Luke Haworth (Bodmin Town)
Best Midfielder: Jack Beck (Longlevens)
Best Forward: Bradley Hill (Devizes)
Player of the Tournament: George Fielding (Greyhound City Sports)
Bristol Rovers defender Craig Hinton said, ‘The Tesco Cup tournament is very positive for the development of football in the UK. It is great to see youngsters enjoying the game and participating in a structured competition. Congratulations to all the teams who have qualified for the English National final and good luck to all the players as the competition progresses.'
